This large floating sculpture is an image in
motion, an image of a vessel. Moving in relation to
the glacial river in an ongoing appearance
of a never ending motion, questioning our
own balance, progress and movement through space
and time. Our
awareness is within each of us, and no
matter how far we go or where, we proceed
without moving, against a flow of time and
space.
The piece is
expected to change with time, turning darker
in color. The casting is layered up with
individual pours, built up as the geological
strata in the surrounding mountains, while
reflecting the waves of the water. It is
cast upside down to suggest a material
emergence out of the water.
