December 10: Smiling now, since last week.
December 29: 2 months old and first shots at the doctor's. Measures 55 cm (21-1/2") and 9 lbs.
December 30: Turns in bed 90 degrees. Horizontal of course.
January 3: Says NO in three languages. Icelandic nei, no in English and njet in Russian. I don't think she is aware of what she is saying, ehe...
January 20: Held her bottle today, not fully in control, but held it. Twice. Thirsty like dad. Also gaining some control of putting her sucker back in her mouth. Gargantuan tasks!
January 29: 3 months young. She got to go to the doctor and get shots. She measured 57 cm (22-1/2 inches). She has been meking a lot of Hmm noises, practicing her voice.
March 17: trying to turn over, scoots around the bed, leaves legs hanging out between bars etc. Kicking comforter off at night.
April 28th: First real food, a tasty banana mixed with formula milk. Mmmm.
May 17: Never wakes up in the same position as she fell asleep in. Now rolling over onto her stomach, making a lot of sounds. Thinks puppetry sillyness is hilarious and rolls over laughing. Baths are every night just before sleep.
June 1: Got the hang of rolling back from her stomach onto her back. Now has the tow options at will.
June 2: Waiving her hand now, with a uh-uh instead of Hi-hi. Very subtle all.
August 10: Just back from Iceland on her first trip. New words: Mamma and Mapa.
August 15: Crawling, albeit slow but crawling. Also standing up now, hoisting herself up by any object. These days the baby-backpack comes in handy instead of the carriage. Favorite shows; Teletubbies, Boobah.
August 17: As of today I am a citizen of Iceland as well
August 22: We noticed a tooth is coming out in her upper gum. Now with the two teeth on the bottom since late June she goes "klank klank" with her mouth.
September 15: Clapping her hands, wow fun fun fun.
October 15: A fifth tooth is peeking out of Lilja´s upper gum. Grandma Dóra is here for a few weeks.
October 19: Today at the kitchen table: Breakfast is cereal with milk and banana / Lunch is Pasta with sweet potatoes and avocado / Dinner is Yogurt with vegetable. In between snacks are Organic milk with a little bit of mom´s own milk.
